Independent candidate for Wentworth, Malcolm Duncan, responded :

” What are your thoughts on asylum seekers? See policy in flyer and at www.malcolmduncancandidate.com (under construction) or email me at duncanmalcolmb@gmail.com

What are your thoughts on public transport? There is not enough nor is it properly funded. Rural areas suffer particularly and I do not see why choice of location should make one a second-class citizen.

What are your thoughts on renewable energy? See policy

Do you support or oppose the introduction of the R18+ rating classification for video games? Support

Do you support or oppose the proposed internet filter? Oppose

Do you support or oppose gay marriage? Constitutionally impossible. Same-sex civil unions can be legislated. See policy.

What are your thoughts on abortion? Never had one. It is a matter of conscience for each couple, or, where there is no couple (e.g. sexual assault) the mother.

Do you support or oppose the legalisation of voluntary euthanasia? Support

What are your thoughts on stem cell research? The sooner they can get the little buggers into my liver the better.

What are your thoughts on education? I don’t have thoughts on it; I have a passion for it. No nation can survive without it: to each according to his needs and capacity.

What are your thoughts on campaign finance disclosure? Pain in the neck – ever done an electoral return yourself?

What are your thoughts on climate change? See policy

What are your thoughts on water? I’m with W.C. Fields but the stuff is still necessary. Our river systems and the artesian basins need to be restored to health.

Do you support or oppose standing order 50? Obviously it should be re-named Standing Order 42 in honour of Douglas Adams then abolished. s116 of the Constitution is also designed to deliver freedom from religion.

Are there any local issues you are trying to highlight with your campaign? No cat should be strangled in Wentworth. Sydney’s sewer system needs to be replaced, public transport improved and trafffic congestion solved.

What do you think about the media’s coverage of the election so far? Pathetic – then again, they are only journalists.
