Asylum seekers: Australia should take our fair share and the rest should be shared equally with other developed countries. The United Nations should be the regulating body controlling world refugees. Those refuges admitted to Australia should be put to work on Snowy Mountains type infrastructure projects so that they can earn their keep and learn to assimilate into our society. This way they can actually be an asset rather than a financial drain on limited revenues which rightfully belong to Australians who have earned that privilege. This is undoubtedly an humanitarian disaster we cannot turn our backs on and political parties who are being racist should be brought to account. These people are prepared to pay the ultimate price to get to AUSTRALIA. They will make good citizens.

Water is our most valuable resource and we need to find ways to use it more efficiently in urban, industry and agriculture. We need to find ways to harvest flood rains without resorting to damming rivers and upsetting the balance that free flowing rivers have with estuaries and oceans
