What do you think about the media’s coverage of the election so far? Commercial media are biased towards the big end of town and are part of the problem because they are the big end of town too. If you like your policies presented in 5-second grabs and are more interested in budgie smugglers and hair colour then enjoy.

Yours truly

Pete

    *sigh*

Can someone else beat this one up? I’m going out for dinner.

The ironic thing is the brevity of the answers, followed by this : “If you like your policies presented in 5-second grabs…”

  • I am with you for a change, better no response was recorded, more infrastructure less dams….lmao…..from this point of few we would be living in the dark ages, and he would ensure no wood fire to cook of supply heat, HHmmmm I wonder what his views would be on population numbers….0

I’m not positive about elsewhere, but the predominant stormwater recycling scheme for SA does not involve dams, so I don’t see why it is inherently an idiotic idea.

actually, if we desalinated water properly (distillation rather than the reverse osmosis) we could get bucketloads of water quite safely. if only the gov’t listened to proposals from external sources…

  • Ygfi is right, as reverse osmosis uses more power and is dirtier, dams are the easy fix, over 30 year since the kangaroo creek damn had a minor upgrade, I happen to know Colin Pitman very well, and he already offered to water proof the state a few years ago, I have already done a few exposes with Channel 7 on these issues, and the Aquifers, seems they are out of sight, hence out of mind, their ability to store huge quantities of water is bloody amasing.

  • Ygfi

actually, dams are just as bad… we should only really be using our own natural influx, and what we can purify our selves…
