Australian Greens Leader Bob Brown says Tasmanian Liberal voters who want their preferences to go to the Greens should not vote above the line in the Senate.

“Tasmania is the only state in Australia where the Liberal Party is directing Senate preferences to Labor ahead of the Greens. To avoid this trap, Liberal Senate voters who prefer the Greens ticket, headed by Christine Milne, over Labor, should vote below the line,” Senator Brown said.

Of course, the best way to advance Tasmania’s future, for example better funding for education, is to put the Greens first in both the House and the Senate, ” Senator Brown said.
