One Nation – To the voters of Wide Bay

To the voters of Wide Bay

During the term of the Rudd – Gillard government, 200 boats carrying an average of 80 illegal boat people each (approx. 15,000) have come to our shores. Why has the corporate media shielded the major parties and have not given the public these alarming figures?

The Four Corners Program on August 2nd highlighted how Indonesia is accepting the funding from the Australian government for detention centres and then their corrupt senior polititians, military officers and police officials are being paid kick-backs and bribes to allow the people-smugglers to transport the illegal boat people to Australian waters. It is in Indonesia’s interests to destabilize Australia with a constant flow of Muslim refugees.

One Nation’s policy is to put these illegal boat people onto planes and to return them to where they came from. They would then not be eligible for consideration for refugee status to Australia for the next ten years for having tried to enter illegally. The message would soon get out that after spending their money and effort to get here, they would only to be returned home. This would put a stop to this flow of illegal boat people.

The government has spent 1 billion (1,000 million) dollars on illegal boat people. To have returned all these people home would have only cost 20 -30 million dollars. One Nation also requires that illegal refugees of which we have accepted 20–30,000/year, again we are not told the figures, are only granted temporary visas. If they offend or carry out terrorist activities they are to be deported to the country that they came from. One Nation supports returning to a sustainable migration of 150,000 per year. The government is not to pander to the large transnational mining companies to supply them with cheap labor. There are plenty of Australians who are on unemployment or sickness benefits, that could be rehabilitated into work.
All of this money that has been spent on illegal boat people should be spent on Australia’s needs at home including housing, hospitals and health care, dental care, public transport, and infrastructure.

It is to be remembered that the Howard Liberal / National Government only brought the government debt down by selling off Telstra and other public assets. Now they are advocating that they would remove the compromised mining tax. Australia presently has a two tier economy, booming in the mining sector, and depressed in the remaining sectors. The mining sector is putting upward pressure on interest rates, which is hurting the remaining sectors. It is my opinion that to have a mining tax so that Australia as a whole benefits from these resources and not the large Liberal / National and Labor Party donors who are largely of overseas interests is what is needed. This would dampen the mining sector slightly with benefits flowing to the other sectors from tax breaks and moderate interest rates.

The major parties have been rendered captive to large national and more so, transnational corporations through their large and extensive donations. They have committed Australia to numerous international conventions without the direction of the Australian public. The corporate media co-conspirators assist to mobilize public opinion to keep the major parties in government.

The electorate also funds the major parties, $2.31 for each House of Representatives, and $2.31 for each Senate vote. Each of the major parties will pocket approximately $25,000,000 from this election.

Labor support went down after Rudd took 140 interlopers to Copenhagan, the Pink Bats debacle, and Building the Education Revolution 25% over runs in expenditure. The boats kept arriving. The corporate media mobilized public opinion to believe that it was the failure to implement an Emission Trading Scheme that lost Labor support.

I believe that a combination of Copenhagen, the Pink Bats, BER, the illegal boats, and Rudd taking on the corporate heavyweights brought him undone. The voters of Wide Bay can throw the spotlight of these issues onto Canberra on election night. Take back your Democracy, Google One Nation.com.au. Read the policies. All the other parties are putting us last. We must be advocating something that is very threatening to them. Send a very strong protest vote 1 Santo Ferraro and vote for One Nation in the Senate.
