    So. 74 for Gillard, and 73 for Abbott. And only 73 if Crook decides to not be a tool.

    If the other three Indies are really serious about stable government, there’s not much they can do aside from throw in with Gillard. If they back Abbott, all it would take would be Katter or Crook getting their knickers in a twist and government would fall apart. Conversely, Gillard could have 77, and room to spare if Katter went off the deep end. As much as they try to be congenial in public, that has *got* to be weighing on Oakeshott’s and Windsor’s minds.
