Katter’s Australian Party registered as ‘The Australian Party’

Katter’s Australian Party has received official endorsement to run under the banner of the ‘The Australian Party’ at the next Queensland Election.

The Queensland Electoral Commission has approved the name and all 76 candidates will contest the election as candidates from The Australian Party.

State Leader, Aidan McLindon, welcomed the official recognition and said that it was an important step as the party builds into the future.

“Katter’s Australian Party has a very well-known and respected Federal Leader in Bob Katter and he is the driving force behind the creation of this party,” Mr McLindon said.

“He has been inspirational and he is the reason 76 Queenslanders have put their hand up to protect our state assets, protect our farming, agricultural, tourism and manufacturing industries and to stand up for Aussie families.”

“It is fitting that Katter’s Australian Party, built by Bob, has also now been officially recognised as the party for all Australians.”

“When people go to vote they will now have the choice to truly vote for their country.”
