Australian Greens – Solution to coal ship queues: no new coalmines

MEDIA RELEASE – 25 June 2012

Solution to coal ship queues: no new coalmines

Commenting on the impacts of the coal industry in the Hunter and Australia’s responsibility to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, Greens Senator for NSW Lee Rhiannon has called for the proposed T4 coal loader to be cancelled not postponed (Newcastle Herald, 25/06/12 http://tiny.cc/buofgw)

“The coal and shipping companies executives who are pushing for a fast turnaround of coal exports out of Newcastle Port are ignoring the serious health and environmental impacts the coal industry is having on the people of the Hunter,” Senator Rhiannon said.

“Shipping Australia chief executive Llew Russell should take note of the burden coal exports are already imposing on locals before he pushes for coal export expansion out of Newcastle Port.

“The way coal and shipping companies are colluding is another example of these companies working to boost their company profits with no regard to community well-being and the environment.

“I am yet to hear of any CEOs living near the coal port or the coal rail line.

“Coal dust is already a health issue and if the T4 coal loader goes ahead at least 40 more coal trains would travel through Newcastle and Maitland every day.

“The greenhouse gas emissions are huge. If T4 is built, an additional 120 million tonnes of coal would shipped out of Newcastle each year. When burned this coal would generate more than 280 million tonnes of greenhouse gases.

“This latest push to keep the T4 on track comes just a month after it was revealed that the Port Waratah Coal Service has not provided the public or the ACCC with any evidence that they have the 176.6 million tonnes per year in take or pay contracts that is required before T4 is built.

“This was revealed by the competition commission when I questioned ACCC representatives in Senate Estimates.

“Now that the economic justification for T4 has been thrown into question, the shipping and coal industry are stepping up their public pressure to get their way,” Senator Rhiannon said.

Women may buy designer bags to protect their relationships, study suggests MIGUEL MEDINA/AFP/Getty Images chanel Could women’s penchants for designer handbags and shoes actually be a signal for other women to stay away from their significant other? chanel outlet A new study currently in press for the February 2014 issue of the Journal of Consumer Research suggests that women may use designer goods to tell other females that their significant other is dedicated to them. chanel handbags 2013 “It might seem irrational that each year Americans spend over $250 billion on women’s luxury products with an average woman acquiring three new handbags a year, but conspicuous consumption is actually smart for women who want to protect their relationship,” study co-author Vladas Griskevicius, an associate professor at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota, said in a press release . “When a woman is flaunting designer products, it says to other women ‘back off my man.’” chanel purses outlet To reach that conclusion, researchers conducted five experiments with 649 women of varying ages. chanel handbags outlet First, the women were given a scenario of seeing a woman at a party with her date. Then they were asked what they thought about that woman’s relationship solely based on the quality of her belongings. chanel aaa replica The researchers discovered that women were more likely to think that owners of luxury items were in a devoted relationship, and they were less willing to flirt with the owner’s significant other. It didn’t even matter to them who had paid for the items: The subjects believed that no matter what, the man had something to do with the luxury purchases. In another experiment, researchers asked the subjects in relationships to picture that another woman was flirting with their man, in order to make them jealous. Then, in a seemingly unrelated task, the women were asked to draw a designer logo. Women who were jealous drew logos twice as large compared to women who were just asked to draw without being provoked. “The feeling that a relationship is being threatened by another woman automatically triggers women to want to flash Gucci, Chanel, and Fendi to other women,” research co-author Yajin Wang, a PhD student at the Carlson School of Management, said in a press release. “A designer handbag or a pair of expensive shoes seems to work like a shield, where wielding a Fendi handbag successfully fends off romantic rivals.” The researchers saw the same behavior when they tried that experiment on single women. To them, this suggested that unattached women may seek out designer brands in order to prevent other women from taking advantage of them when they are in a relationship. In a way, the luxury goods were a signal to stop women from latching onto their future, prospective significant other. The authors added that future research was needed to test this hypothesis. In one other experiment, they gave participants $5 and told them that they could spend as much as they wanted to buy $1 raffle tickets to win a $200 shopping spree at eight different luxury brand stores including Nordstrom’s, Tiffany and Coach. Then, they tried to make some of the women jealous just like they had done in the previous experiments. Women who felt their relationships were threatened were willing to spend 32 percent more in order for a chance to win the shopping spree. They were also shown to want more expensive handbags, cars, cell phones and shoes. Previous research by Griskevicius showed that men bought more expensive products in order to show of their wealth and attract mates. Using this study, he believes women buy expensive products to show off to other women, not in order to appeal to men. The author added to the Minneapolis Post that this behavior happens on subconscious level. “The fact that most women’s luxury products are aimed to impress other women helps explain why men have a hard time figuring out if a woman’s handbag costs $50 or $5,000,” Griskevicius explained. “Women’s designer products are geared to show off to other women not men.” He added that women who don’t have the desire to flaunt expensive goods may not have as many fears about losing their significant other. “For women in relationships who are not displaying these fancy handbags and showing off, it suggests that they are more secure in their relationship, that they feel less threatened,” Griskeviciu said to the Minneapolis Post. © 2013 CBS Interactive Inc. Maybe because I prefer practicality to a designer name. As for discouraging other women from hitting on the husband or boyfriend, maybe those women should stop introducing their guys to other women. Doing so just sends the wrong message to the guy. reply link icon report icon email icon jeffrow63 says: Well, I always knew women were a little strange. watches By Silke Koltrowitz and Caroline Copley
best replica watches site ZURICH (Reuters) – The world’s biggest watchmaker, Swatch Group , said it expects faster sales growth and better margins in the second half as its Omega brand is growing again in China while demand for Harry Winston jewellery is buoyant.
swiss replica watches aaa+ In the first half of the year, there have been double-digit percentage falls in Swiss watch exports to China and Hong Kong, which absorbed a quarter of the timepieces that left Switzerland between January and June.
swiss replica watches “Omega has come back strongly in mainland China, it’s not growing at a double-digit pace, but it’s on a modest growth path again,” Chief Executive Nick Hayek said on Tuesday.
cheap watches He added that he saw single-digit growth in the second half for the group’s high-end brands, including Omega, which analysts estimate accounts for about a third of group sales.
top brand watches Hong Kong, the biggest market for Swiss watches, where people from mainland China shop to avoid high taxes at home, never really collapsed for Swatch’s brands, Hayek said.
“We’ve always had at least 5-7 percent growth there, also in the high end,” he said in a telephone interview.
He confirmed that the group’s strong mid-range brands, Longines and Tissot, as well as its colorful Swatch plastic watches should continue to grow in double-digits in the region.
Sales of costly watches in China have been hit by a government crackdown on gifts to officials and business leaders to facilitate transactions. France’s Hermes said last week it had also been affected by this trend.
Gross sales at Swatch increased a slightly better-than-expected 8.7 percent to 4.181 billion francs ($4.47 billion) in the first half of the year, significantly less than the 14.4 percent growth seen in the year-ago period.
“The U.S. market is doing very well, the UK is improving and tourist shopping is supporting Italy,” Hayek said. “France is giving us a bit of a headache, without the tourists, there would be hardly any consumption there.”
He said the group might be able to achieve 9 billion Swiss francs in gross sales this year if the dollar rose a bit and if the group could build enough stock to satisfy high demand for jewellery made by the newly acquired Harry Winston brand.
It is currently Swatch Group’s priority to put production back on track at Canadian jeweler Harry Winston, which it bought for almost $1 billion this year, Hayek said.
NECKLACES AND RINGS
“We need a lot of high-end products at Harry Winston so we can satisfy all these customers walking, for example, into our store on (New York’s) 5th Avenue to buy necklaces and rings in the range of more than $10 million. So you can imagine that it is crucial that enough products are available in the store.”
Hayek said stocks at the brand were quite low now but he wanted to increase them to about $800 million to ensure he had $30-40 million in stock at each of the brand’s 23 stores.
Hayek said the group’s operating margin could bounce back to 24-25 percent in the second half after dropping to 22.7 percent in the first, hit by high expenses for the Basel watch fair and investment into new products, such as its mechanical Swatch watch Sistem51 and an antimagnetic Omega.
“I gave the green light to spend an additional 40 million francs on marketing in June just to promote our new products at Swatch, Omega and Longines. … I don’t care if that hit our margin in the short term, it’s the long term that counts.”
Shares in Swatch were up 3.1 percent by 1132 GMT, outperforming a flat sector index , after falling some 12 percent from May’s all-time high as markets were pricing in a forthcoming weak first half. Luxury goods group Richemont , which also hit a peak in May, has shed only 5 percent.
They trade at about 15.1 times forward earnings, according to Reuters data, at a discount to Richemont at 16.8 times and LVMH at 16.7 times.
Citi analyst Thomas Chauvet said the expectations for a rebound in demand and margins in the second half were already largely priced in and he expected consensus to come down.
Net profit was up 6.1 percent to 768 million francs, ahead of a 728 million estimate in a Reuters poll, with analysts citing a better-than-expected financial result and a lower tax rate.

Helen Hunt made a splash at the beach – and the water had nothing to do with it!
On Monday, the Oscar-winning actress, 50, was photographed wearing a flattering black one-piece swimsuit at Venice Beach in L.A., while shooting scenes for her new surfer movie Ride , which she not only wrote but is also directing and producing.
In the film, Hunt plays a magazine editor who discovers her son has dropped out of college to become a surfer. Her character follows the boy to California, where she meets a surf instructor played by Luke Wilson.
It’s hard to believe she’s also a mother – Makena Lei, her daughter with Matthew Carnahan, is 9.
“I fell in love, I had a daughter,” the actress has said about her step back from the spotlight. “It was hard to find a part that was as interesting as watching her grow up.”

Top 10 luxury in-store marketing efforts of H1
By Erin Shea
August 9, 2013
Rolls-Royce window display at Harrods
tiffany During the first half of 2013, luxury marketers created elaborate in-store displays, designed intriguing windows and hosted events to get consumers further involved in their brands.
tiffany Many marketers used their own store locations for these promotions, but others made use of other non-retail areas to promote themselves. The most effective in-store campaigns were those that motivated consumers to take action to visit the display and engage with the brand.
tiffany Here are the top 10 luxury in-store marketers of the first half of 2013, in alphabetical order.
Historic Breguet gold pocket watch with tourbillon
tiffany Breguet’s Frick Collection exhibit -  Swiss watchmaker Breguet is appealing to watch enthusiasts through its participation in the “Precision and Splendor: Clocks and Watches at The Frick Collection,” New York.
tiffany The three historic Breguet timepieces by Abraham-Louis Breguet and his son Antoine-Louis Breguet from the late eighteenth century are the most recent creations on display. Breguet also provided major funding for the exhibit, which could strengthen its reputation in the watch industry.
tiffany The Precision and Splendor: Clocks and Watches exhibit chronicles some of the most significant European watches in the United States. It was organized by Charlotte Vignon, The Frick Collectin’s associate curator of decorative arts.
The pieces featured in the exhibit represent discoveries and innovations in watchmaking starting from the early sixteenth through the nineteenth century.
The display is shown in The Frick Collection’s Portico Gallery, the only room in the museum where direct sunlight hits the artifacts, through Feb. 2, 2014.
Bulgari New York flagship store
Bulgari’s Serpenti exhibit -  Italian jeweler Bulgari encouraged affluent consumers to visit its New York flagship store with a month-long retrospective that highlights the history of the Serpenti line.
The display was created by French artist and designer Fabien Illou who has worked with Bulgari since 2008 with pieces curated by jewelry historian Marion Fasel. Ms. Fasel is also the author of a companion to the exhibit called “Bulgari: Serpenti Collection” that was published March 2013 by Assouline.
Bulgari presented the Serpenti exhibit to the public Feb. 10-Mar. 6 in its New York flagship store at 730 Fifth Avenue. The exhibit opening date was meant to overlap with Chinese New Year Feb. 10 that makes it the Year of the Snake.
The exhibit included light panels that show images of female fashion icons wearing Serpenti pieces such as Elizabeth Taylor, Marisa Berenson, Veruschka and Benedetta Barzini.
Burberry Regent Street retail theater space
Burberry’s Live at 121 Regent St. events -  London-based fashion house Burberry established its global flagship store as an entertainment venue with a ticketed concert series called “Live at 121 Regent Street.”
The label held its first concert April 23 featuring award-winning British rock band Kaiser Chiefs with more acts to be announced later this year. Unlike a public performance, Burberry’s concert series – where tickets are free – is likely to gather brand loyalists and devoted music fans to experience one part of the brand.
Consumers can apply for free tickets through Burberry’s Web site when available.
Cartier's Fifth Avenue boutique
Cartier’s Paris Nouvelle Vague installation -  Richemont’s Cartier boosted foot traffic to its New York boutique by hosting an installation for its revamped Paris Nouvelle Vague collection.
The French jeweler lured consumers into its store by hosting the special installation June 6–14 at the 653 Fifth Avenue boutique. Cartier likely offering the exhibit in-store to increase foot traffic during the typical lull in New York during the summer months.
Cartier sent an email to its customers June 5 to entice them to come into its Manhattan boutique to experience the installation. The subject of the email was “Experience Paris in New York.”
The email offered limited details about the installation, but made clear that it was only available for nine days in June.
The installation celebrated the newly revamped Paris Nouvelle Vague jewelry collection by giving consumers a taste of Paris culture.
Fortnum & Mason jewelry department
Fortnum & Mason’s jewelry department -  London-based home goods retailer Fortnum & Mason added jewelry to its repertoire to target a group of trendy consumers that make impulse purchases.
The jewelry department is available at Fortnum & Mason’s retail store at 181 Piccadilly and its British ecommerce site. The retailer likely stepped out of its comfort zone to show consumers that it is more than a home shop, but also a luxury lifestyle retailer.
Designers represented in the jewelry department include Alex Monroe, Alice Menter, Bex Rox, Bijoux Heart, Carlos Maronna, Catherine Zoraida, Jessica De Lotz, Katie Hillier, Katie Rowland, Kikamishto, Majorica, Melanie Georgacopoulos, Missoma, Stephen Webster, Tomasz Donocik and Vivienne Westwood.
Fortnum & Mason launched the product category with an in-store exhibit of new collections from the British Fashion Council’s Rock Vault designers. The Rock Vault program raises awareness of new jewelry designers in London.
The exhibit was curated by British jeweler Stephen Webster, who is also a featured artisan in the department.
Hublot becomes the official timekeeper of the Los Angeles Lakers
Hublot’s partnership with the Los Angeles Lakers -  Swiss watchmaker Hublot boosted brand visibility by becoming the official timekeeper of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association team.
Hublot presented a wall clock to the Lakers to symbolize the partnership during halftime at the Lakers versus the New Orleans Hornets game Jan. 29 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe, Lakers executive vice president Jeanie Buss, Lakers player Kobe Bryant and Greg Simonian, president of the Hublot Beverly Hills boutique, joined together on the floor during a pre-game ceremony Jan. 29 to celebrate the partnership.
Hublot’s name is shown on the game clock and around the Staples Center during Lakers’ games.
Lalique Maison bar
Lalique’s Lalique Maison showrooms -  Glassmaker Lalique jump-started a lifestyle-focused rebranding effort by featuring a  luxury furniture, accessories and bed linen collection called Lalique Maison in new showrooms.
The collection comprises Art Deco-inspired furniture and accessories that were designed by Lady Tina Green and Pietro Mingarelli. The products are now displayed at three recently created Lalique Interiors showrooms in New York, Chicago and Beverly Hills, CA.
Lalique Maison products range from throw pillows for $3,400 to the Cactus Table for $120,000. There are approximately 140 pieces in the collection that are all handmade in Italy.
Consumers can visit the Lalique Interior Design Studio to customize the wall panels and interior products. The studio uses crystal and specific technologies to personalize pieces for any bespoke project such as doors, panels, chandeliers and handrails.
Rolls-Royce window display at Harrods
Rolls-Royce’s window display at Harrods -  Rolls-Royce Motor Cars targeted affluent Harrods shoppers with window displays at the London department store to celebrate the British debut of the Wraith vehicle.
This display marked the first time that the British automaker has put its vehicles on display in a retailer’s windows.
Rolls-Royce took over Harrods windows for one week to celebrate the British debut of its Wraith vehicle April 29. The vehicle that is on display is painted Midnight Sapphire with an upper two-tone paint color of Cassiopeia Silver.
The interior has an Arctic White and navy leather scheme with embroidered Rolls-Royce logo in the headrests and Canadel Paneling in Santos Palisander.
This model also features the starlight headliner that glows from hundreds of star-like lights in the roof lining, which can be turned on with the press of a button.
Saks celebrates beauty month
Saks’ Beauty Treat Du Jour month -  Department store chain Saks Fifth Avenue drove post-holiday foot traffic with daily beauty offers through January.
The Beauty Treat Du Jour month-long event gave Saks customers daily extras including complimentary makeovers, deluxe gifts, expert tips, appearances from luxury beauty brands and other services. The program was offered at 25 Saks locations in the United States.
Specials for beauty month included complimentary makeovers from Nars, massages from la Prairie and Jo Malone, complimentary SK-II facial masks, facials and samples from Sisley and nail polish changes from Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.
In addition, stores hosted the first-ever Saks Sample Bar that offered consumers their choice of three beauty samples as well as complimentary treats from BluePrintBar, Unreal Candy and Vita Coco.
With purchases, customers could also receive special gifts from Bond, Cartier, Clarisonic, Estée Lauder, Guerlain, Lancôme, Le Métier de Beauté, Oscar de la Renta and Trish McEvoy.
Tiffany window sketch
Tiffany’s The Great Gatsby-themed windows -  Jeweler Tiffany & Co. transformed its New York flagship store to show off its collaboration with the 2013 film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby.”
Tiffany worked with the film’s Academy Award-winning costume and production designer Catherine Martin to create this year’s Blue Book windows in which items from The Great Gatsby Collection and other one-off pieces are displayed. The brand announced in 2011 that it was working with Ms. Martin to provide exclusive jewelry pieces inspired by its archives for the characters to wear in the film.
Tiffany tapped the excitement for Mr. Luhrmann’s “The Great Gatsby” to draw foot traffic to its flagship boutique and to market its Jazz Age-inspired collections such as Tiffany Jazz, The Great Gatsby Collection, Ziegfeld Collection and Tiffany Legacy Collection.
The window display comprised five scenes that feature décor and props reminiscent of the party scenes in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s story such as grand crystal pillars and glass bubbles.

timberland boot outlet timberland fashion boots The shoe distribution was held in two Jim Browne dealership locations in Dade City: Jim Browne Pasco Chevy Buick GMC and Jim Browne Citrus Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram.
timberland boot sale timberland discount shoes Dennis Klinger, who runs the Salvation Army service center in Dade City, heads up Soles for Little Souls. He describes its mission: “It is designed to provide needy children with brand new shoes for back to school. Last year, in our first year, we provided 52 pairs of shoes, and this year we will be providing over 100.”
Jim Browne and the Zephyrhills Ladies Oriental Shrine Cairo Court No. 97 were the major sponsors for the program. Five of the Shriners, Carol Miller, Isabelle Collins, Fran Crum and Ruth Whidden and Vera Simpson, helped distribute shoes.
Joy Fall, 8, Jalisa Rhoden, 15, and Dustin Rhoden, 15, siblings from Dade City, were happy with the shoes they received.
“I actually needed running shoes,” Dustin said. Jalisa liked the pink and blue colors of her shoes.
“There’s nothing better than seeing a big smile on a kid’s face,” Browne said. He said he sponsored the program to give back to the community.

4 Simple Ways To Spot A Fake Rolex Watch By Megan Willett | Business Insider – Tue, Jul 30, 2013 7:55 PM EDT
watches Even if you’re not a watch aficionado, chances are you’ve heard of the Swiss brand Rolex.
best swiss replica watches Rolex is a widely known status symbol, with over 700,000 of its timepieces pumped out annually . It’s also one of the most counterfeited watch brands out there.
swiss replica watches aaa+ Bloomberg interviewed watch dealer David Duggan , who has been selling watches since 1975, to find out the best way to determine if a Rolex is fake or not. Here are some of his top tips:
best replica watches site 1. The cheapest fakes are easy to spot because of their quartz dial movements. The second hand stutters along inside the counterfeit watch, whereas a real Rolex has a smooth second hand movement.
high quality swiss replica watches
YouTube
copy watches If you’re still unsure about the difference between a “stuttering” second hand and a “smooth” one, listen closely — there should not be a ticking noise coming from a true Rolex.
2. The second way to spot a fake is by the heft of the watch. Fake Rolex watches are generally lighter, whereas a real Rolex is made of high-quality metals, and will weigh significantly more.

REUTERS/Hans Deryk
3. Next, take a look at the winder on the side. Usually, fake Rolex watches have rather basic winders to move the minute and hour hands. But a true Rolex will have a finely-crafted winder with engravings and grooves that are “quite a work of art,” according to Duggan.

REUTERS/Shannon Stapleton
4. Last but not least, the cyclops lens on the face of the true Rolex will magnify the date. It’s hard to replicate, so most counterfeit timepieces will skip this step and the date will appear the same size.

The cheapest watches sold on the street are pretty easy to spot. Duggan cautions it’s when the fake watch is sold for over $700 that you will need to take your purchase to a watchmaker so he or she can remove the back of the Rolex and view the inner movements to know for sure if it’s a counterfeit or not.
And always remember: “If it’s too good to be true, it ain’t true,” Duggan says.

Omega-3s tied to lower risk of rheumatoid arthritis

replica patek NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Women who have diets high in omega-3 fatty acids derived from fish are less likely to develop rheumatoid arthritis than those who skimp on fish, new research suggests.
luxury watches Researchers surveyed Swedish women about their diets and found over the course of more than seven years, long-term consumption of more than one serving of fatty fish each week was tied to a lower risk of developing the condition.
philippe patek “This study is the first to attribute the protective effect of fish against rheumatoid arthritis to its content of omega-3 fatty acids,” Daniela Di Giuseppe, a doctoral student at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and lead author of the study, told Reuters Health in an email.
replica watches Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease that causes joint inflammation, deformities and disability. People with the condition also have a higher risk of heart disease, some infections, anxiety, depression and blood cancers like leukemia.
luxury watches According to the American College of Rheumatology, between 0.5 and 1 percent of the U.S. population has rheumatoid arthritis. Women are two to three times more likely than men to develop the disease, which most commonly starts affecting people in their 60s.
Di Giuseppe and her colleagues followed over 32,000 women born between 1914 and 1948 who were part of the Swedish Mammography Cohort. Information about fish consumption was gathered from diet questionnaires sent to women in 1987 and 1997.
National registries were used to identify new diagnoses of rheumatoid arthritis between 2003 and 2010.
The researchers separated women into five groups based on the amount of fish-based omega-3 fatty acids in their diet, ranging from 0.21 grams or less per day to at least half a gram daily.
Eating 0.21 grams per day of omega-3 fatty acids equates to about one serving per week of salmon and other fatty fish, or four servings per week of lean fish such as cod.
During follow-up, 205 women developed rheumatoid arthritis, the researchers reported in Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases.
Long-term consumption of any fish at least once per week, compared to less than one weekly serving, was tied to a 29 percent lower risk of rheumatoid arthritis. However, that finding could have been due to chance, the researchers found.
Women who reported getting more than 0.21 grams of omega-3 fatty acids derived from fish per day both in 1987 and 1997 had a 52 percent decreased risk of developing the disease, compared to those who ate the least.
The researchers found a threshold effect, suggesting more omega-3s may not always be better. Below 0.35 grams per day, the risk of rheumatoid arthritis increased, but above it, the benefits seemed to taper off.
The results are consistent with other studies that have found threshold effects, and with recommendations from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Human Services, which advise eating at least two servings of fish per week.
The researchers concluded that “moderate consumption of fish is sufficient to reduce risk of diseases.”
Genes and lifestyle may both play a role in rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Simon Helfgott, a rheumatoid arthritis researcher at Harvard Medical School in Boston, said the top three things people can do to prevent the disease are not smoke, avoid gum disease by having good oral hygiene and improve their diet.
“When we say diet there’s really only one influence that seems to affect rheumatoid arthritis and that’s fish consumption,” Helfgott, who was not involved in the new research, told Reuters Health.
Omega-3 fatty acids are used by the body to make molecules that help regulate inflammation, known as eicosanoids. The current thinking is that eicosanoids derived from essential fatty acids in meat promote more inflammation than those from omega-3 fatty acids in fish, researchers said.
“This study lends credence to a strongly considered hypothesis in rheumatology circles, which is that we might be able to intervene in preventing rheumatoid arthritis in some individuals,” Helfgott said.

Cornell Poyser, 40, allegedly stole van-loads of merchandise from a Long Island T.J. Maxx store where he worked and re-sold them in a small store he rented in East Flatbush.

Brooklyn prosecutors showcased stacks of evidence Wednesday against a sticky-fingered assistant manager at a T.J. Maxx accused of selling high-end wares he stole from the outlet at rock-bottom prices.

A video surveillance captured Cornell Poyser, 40, dumping bags of merchandise earlier this month from a loading dock at the Long Island chain store where he worked to the back of his minivan. He allegedly resold the ill-gotten goods at a shop he opened in Flatbush.

The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office announced charges Wednesday against Cornell Poyser. A large table held some of the merchandise found at the Poyser’s shop, Stefani Boutique.

"This is one of the most egregious crimes I’ve investigated," said lead prosecutor Joseph DiBenedetto. "Very bold."

Poyser’s shop, Stefani Boutique, sold Michael Kors handbags, Ralph Lauren polo shirts, Juicy Couture perfume and much more, all allegedly originating at T.J. Maxx.
Poyser was indicted Wednesday for grand larceny and other charges that carry a maximum of 15 years in prison. He owned the Brooklyn store for a year, about the same time he was employed at the T.J. Maxx in Oceanside, prosecutors said.
His court-appointed lawyer, Danielle Feman, did not return a call seeking comment.

Former customers of Poyser’s now-shuttered store have said that designer dresses that go for $90 were sold for as little as $10.
Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes noted that opening a small business involves a lot of time and money, alleging the defendant "found a creative but quite illegal way" to avoid that.

Starkey Hearing Foundation fits and gives more than 100,000 hearing aids annually, and as a member of President Clinton’s Global Initiative, it has pledged to fit one million hearing aids this decade. Scholarship winner Kelsey Brooks, a college senior at the University of Georgia, says that the industry must do a better job of incorporating technology and face-to-face interaction, and must work hard to earn back trust and loyalty, which was hurt following the financial crisis.

Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club Scam Prevention Squad Warns Against Counterfeit Items Press Release : JW Maxx Solutions – Thu, Sep 12, 2013 10:01 AM EDT
watches Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club Scam Prevention Squad is assisting members in avoiding the most common scams that are plaguing the industry, and one of the easiest scams to fall for is the purchase of fraudulent items. copy watches New York, New York- Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club Scam Prevention Squad was established so that members of this vacation club could educate themselves on the most current travel scams, and this month Lifestyle is revealing tips and tricks to avoid purchasing counterfeit items. swiss replica watches Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club Scam Prevention Squad first wants to remind travelers that if a deal seem too good to be true then it probably is. Shopping is easily one of the first thing individuals want to do while they are away on vacation, which is why so many vendors are set up to take advantage of this situation. When walking down the street there are many “vendors” that have unbeatable deals on the highest quality goods that literally call to travellers on the sidewalk. These travelers then notice high end merchandise like gold chains, watches, jewelry, and even purses and debate on buying these products. Many vendors assure the good`s authenticity and offer these products at unbeatable prices. Travelers then purchase these items only to find that they have been ripped off, and the goods were fake all along. Not only is buying fake goods a waste of money, but it is also illegal in many countries. swiss Mechanical movement replica watches Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club Scam Prevention Squad recommends many tips to assure that travelers buy authentic goods and avoid fake vendors at all costs. First, travelers should only go to reputable stores when they are looking to buy high-end items, so these travelers should go to actual stores versus sidewalk vendors. This way, travelers know that the goods that they buy are real, and can`t stand behind their purchases. Lifestyle also reminds individuals never to buy gold and jewelry off the street. It is important to go to jewelers before making this purchase, because the jewelry bought off the street is typically stolen or fake. To protect themselves, travelers should stick to the stores and avoid any “amazing” deals that a street vendor has to offer. replica watches Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club Scam Prevention Squad hopes that by providing details on the most current scams in the industry individuals will have improved vacation experiences. This is a vacation club that sets the gold standard of customer services and is considered the top resort destination of the Dominican Republic. Those interested in planning a new type of vacation experience should look no further than a membership with Lifestyle Holidays Vacation Club. Julkaistu: 30.8.2013 15:11
Kotisohvalta on helppo laukoa oikeita vastauksia, kun juontaja ei kuumota vieressä eikä yleisö tuijota jokaista liikettä.

Katso video täältä!

Tässä kymmenen hauskinta vastausta:

1. “Milloin nainen alkaa näyttää raskaalta?”, juontaja kysyy. Nainen miettii hetken ja vastaa “syyskuussa”.

4. Nimeä ruumiinosa, joka kasvaa, mitä vanhemmaksi ihminen tulee? “Penis”

6. Nimeä jotain, mitä teinipoika voi tehdä tuntien ajan päivässä? “Masturboida”

8. Mistä Lontoo on kuuluisa? “Pastasta”
