The Country Alliance party has welcomed changes to election regulations that now recognise shooters and boating licences for people wishing to enrol on the day of state elections.
The regulations, which came into effect last month, originally limited the types of licences that would be recognised for identification purposes to drivers’ licences.
However a submission from the party to expand that to include other validly issued licences such as shooters’ and boating licences, was accepted by the Department of Justice.
Party spokesman, Russell Bate, said the inclusion made a lot of sense.
“Shooters and boating licences are equally as valid as any other licences issued by state authorities, so it made no sense to recognise one type but not the other”.
“Our submission is one aspect of our broader election platform that seeks to ensure that the value and status of recreational activities is properly recognised.”
“This is something we believe is ignored in the current political environment”.

19 ноября в Музее оккупации в Таллинне состоится открытие выставки под названием ”Голодомор 1932-1933 годов в Украине — геноцид украинского народа”, посвященной 80-ой годовщине величайшей трагедии в истории Украины.

October wasn’t the first month that Pandora suffered a sequential dip in active listeners or hours streamed. However, the timing of the event — taking place during Apple’s first full calendar month in the streaming market — should make investors suspicious until the November metrics are announced. Pandora can set investors at ease on Thursday by providing upbeat insight into how November is shaping up.
Revenue, earnings, and guidance are the three major aspects of any quarterly report, but they have rarely been this important for Pandora. It needs to prove that it’s milking more money out of its users, holding up on the margins front, and still growing in popularity. Anything less and investors may be feeling the pain later this week.

The Board of Directors of Tamburi Investment Partners S.p.A. (hereinafter “TIP” – tip.mi), independent investment/merchant bank listed on Star Segment of Borsa Italiana S.p.A., met today in Milan and approved the consolidated quarterly report as at September 30, 2013.
R ESULTS AS AT S EPTEMBER 30, 2013
The first nine months of 2013 ended with a profit before taxes of approximately 31 million Euro compared to 3.8 million Euro in the first nine months of 2012.
This result was mainly obtained through the beginning of the liquidation of the positions indirectly held in Printemps through Borletti Group Finance SCA and Borletti Group SCA; such transaction gave rise to the most significant capital gain achieved by TIP from the beginning of its activity. The overall capital gain related to the whole transaction should be of about 33 million Euro, of which approximately 31.6 million already recorded in the income statement and cashed in, while the remaining part is still dependent on some transaction costs under definition and on the relative taxation.
TIP consolidated net equity as at September 30, 2013 amounted to about 254.6 million Euro, also in this case the highest level achieved by the company, compared to approximately 211.3 million Euro reported in the individual financial statements as at December 31, 2012 and this after the payment of dividends for 5.4 million Euro occurred during the month of May 2013 and the purchase of treasury shares in the period for 6.4 million Euro.
In the first nine months TIP generated revenues from advisory services of about 4 million Euro (2.5 million Euro in the same period of 2012 and about 1 million Euro as at June 30, 2013), dividends of 1.3 million Euro and income from securities – considering fair value adjustments as at September 30, 2013 and financial income – of more than
1.7 million Euro.
The most important aspect that has to be emphasized is the fact that the majority of the main investee companies continue to report good results, even if as of today with a slight decrease compared to 2012. These results are mainly due to the technological level, the leadership position and the geographical diversification of the revenues of many of these companies.

On August 5, 2013 through the controlled company Clubsette S.r.l., it has been acquired a 14% stake in Ruffini
Partecipazioni S.r.l., company that owns the 32% of Moncler Group.
Clubsette is a special purpose vehicle of which TIP owns 52.5%. The remaining part of the capital has been subscribed by other shareholders, mainly entrepreneurs and family offices.
TIP has subscribed with Ruffini Partecipazioni a six years lock-up agreement, while the other shareholders of Clubsette have subscribed the same obligation, but limited to approximately a three years period; the percentage of participation of Clubsette in Ruffini Partecipazioni may vary – but with a floor of 12% – depending on the performance of Moncler shares in the first six months from listing on the stock exchange.
Given the nature of TIP activity, the relevance of the data mentioned for the nine months of 2013, both in economic and financial terms, is not necessarily a significant outlook on an annual basis.
Coherently with what is normally recorded in the quarterly reports, the values of the stocks in unlisted companies available for sale have not been modified compared to December 31, 2012, until new information able to change the fundamental parameters on which it was based the evaluation at the end of the previous year emerge.
However, in this quarter it has been updated the fair value of the investment in Borletti Group in light of the advancement of the liquidation phase and the value of a minor investment.
Instead there has been an increase, only with a financial impact, of the value of the associated company Clubtre S.r.l. in relation to the increase in fair value of the investment in Prysmian S.p.A. and of the associated company Gruppo IPG Holding S.r.l.
The net financial position of the group as of September 30, 2013 – also taking into account the partially convertible bond of 40 million Euro to be reimbursed in a unique installment in June 2019 – was negative for approximately 17 million Euro.
R ELEVANT EVENTS AFTER S EPTEMBER 30, 2013
The Board of Directors takes acknowledgment of the will of the Executive Directors, considering the performance of the year and therefore in occasion of the approval of the consolidated report for the full year 2013, to double the dividend with respect to the year 2012.
In relation to the activity of the company, there are no relevant events to mention after September 30, 2013.
O UTLOOK
Given the extent of the capital gain achieved with the liquidation of the investment in Borletti Group, the entire year
2013 will be significantly characterized by this result.
With reference to the other positions both relating to stocks and bonds at the moment is not foreseeable any other element able to change, in a radical way, the economic and financial situation. The advisory activity is expected to evolve in line with the results as at September 30, 2013.

T REASURY SHARES
Treasury shares held as at September 30, 2013 were equal to 6,707,561 (nr. 2,791,532 as at December 31, 2012). Treasury shares held as at November 14, 2013 amounted at 6,837,362, equal to 5.026% of the share capital at an average purchase price of 1.564 Euro per share.
The manager responsible for the preparation of the company’s accounts, Claudio Berretti, hereby declares, as per article 154 bis, paragraph 2, of the “Testo Unico della Finanza”, that all information related to the company’s accounts contained in this press release are fairly representing the accounts and the books of the company.

Selon un sondage BVA publié samedi , le chef de l’Etat stagne à 26%, soit le même score que la semaine passée. 73% des sondés ont une “mauvaise opinion” de lui et 1% ne se prononcent pas. [b][url=/fr/][/url][/b] Et d ‘après cette enquête pour iTélé et Le Parisien, 54% des personnes interrogée estiment que le président a joué un rôle “pas important” dans leur libération. A l’inverse, 43% pensent qu’il a joué “un rôle important” et 3% n’ont pas d’opinion. [b][/b] Par ailleurs, 52% estiment que le gouvernement a eu raison de suspendre l’écotaxe, contre 46% qui jugent qu’il a eu tort. 2% n’ont pas d’opinion. Mais 71% prédisent que “cette décision va fragiliser le gouvernement”. Il est tellement évident que la libération des otages n’a occupé Flambant l’humiliant qu’à 1%, et que bien d’autres ont bossé là dessus sans qu’on en parle, il serait grossier, comme quelqu’un d’élu d’une imposture et qui mange trop au restaurant, d’imaginer une seule seconde, un infime rapport avec une crédibilité de chef d’Etat inconnue pour lui et surtout inaccessible pour toujours. Le remplaçant de l’obsédé sait qu’il est nul.Il reste donc le maquillage, et il y a du boulot!

aujourd’hui, le 2 novembre, on apprend que deux journalistes ont été enlevés au Mali. Le paiement de rançon, que petit-gros 1er dit refusé, initie comme prévu le pire scénario : tout Français dans les zones sahariennes et sub-sahariennes sont des mines d’or à exploiter.
Et dire que petit-gros 1er ose nous affirmer que la France ne paie plus de rançon. Les islamistes tueurs, eux, savent qu’il ment.
Le drôle, quant aux sondages à la noix, dont on nous abreuve chaque semaine sous forme de perfusion, c’est que les satisfaits(il y en a encore ?) du petit-gros, varie de 28, 26, 21, puis remonte à 26 %. sans que l’on sache comment ces sondages à la noix sont réalisés et qulles sont les questions(je suppose à la noix aussi).

… qu’il ne profite pas mais en réalité ces prises d’otages avec rançons ne sont que des mascarades pour blanchir ou détourner de l’argent au nez et à la barbe de tout le monde. D’un côté les abrutis analphabètes fanatisés de l’islamisme croyant être des gens importants envoyés de dieu, des otages qui en paient les frais jusqu’à leur vie, et des types en col blanc que personne ne connaît et des politiciens affairistes véreux aux ordres de mafieux non identifiés à la tête de tout cela. Le tout animé par des médias dont le rôle est de vous rappeler que vous devez être émus, avoir une conscience (comme si vous ne saviez pas en avoir une)… d’ailleurs les libérations arrivent lorsque l’on commence à réentendre parler de ces otages, avant on passe l’actualité sur des tweets dont il n’y a rien à dire tout en vous martelant qu’il y a quelque chose à y voir sans jamais évoquer ou rappeler quoi que ce soit de ces otages, et puis on vous passe le politicien comme le sauveur (ça c’est une part de son contrat dans l’affaire: la pub), votre fric part dans des caisses inconnues, et les affaires continuent avec les mêmes dans une nouvelle affaire quelques temps plus tard.

While the devices are undoubtedly conversation starters, and the look may be coveted in some circles, for the most part wearable technology has a fashion problem. Wearables is a broad and fast-growing category that, as the name implies, includes any small piece of technology that can be worn. Research firm ABI estimates the wearables market will hit $6 billion by 2018.[b]new style watches[/b]
There are “smart” glasses, watches, bracelets, brooches, visors, necklaces and even bras. Straps secure small sensors against arms, chest, head or legs. The technology inside these devices is moving ahead while the design side stagnates. Sensors are getting smaller, cheaper and more advanced. It’s possible that the technology will become so advanced that trackers could bypass the design problem altogether by shrinking down electronic elements enough that they can be invisibly embedded in regular clothing, hats, shoes and belts.[b][url=http://www.kissreplicawatches.com]watches[/url][/b]

But not every company sees that on the horizon.
“We don’t think the trackers we see today are going to go away in favor of a sensor-laden shirt or bra,” said Woody Scal, the chief revenue officer at fitness tracker company Fitbit.
Fitness trackers embrace th e fun
The most popular wearables are fitness trackers, which use sensors to detect movement, heart rate, body temperature, breathing, sleep patterns, location and speed. In the fitness area at CES, low-profile and colorful bracelets inspired by the Nike FuelBand and Fitbit Flex and Force are the most common. There are the Garmin Vivofit and Jaybird Reign trackers, and the LG Lifeband Touch and Razer Nabu , which add in notifications from smartphones.
The new Sony Core , a small stick that will fit in wrist-wear like the Sony SmartBand, acts as a fitness tracker but also branches out into life logging. It will be able to track mundane daily activities, weather, what movies you watch and what music you listen to, and notable events. It can also receive notifications from a paired smartphone, will likely cost around $135, and pops in and out of various brightly colored wrist bands.
The traditional wearable look is passable for fitness gear, which is expected to be bold and sporty. Unfortunately the esthetic doesn’t always translate into everyday wear. Most adults have moved beyond rocking brightly colored plastic baubles. They want sleekly designed accessories and brand names.
Early stabs at jewelry
Some companies have smartly started to outsource the design process to people who know about fashion. Intel announced that it was teaming up with hipster design label Opening Ceremony on a bracelet that will be sold at Barneys, though specific design and pricing details are still unknown.
Chip-maker CSR worked with jeweler Cellini to create a surprisingly nice Bluetooth pendant that has a single, customizable light for receiving notifications. On the odd side, the necklace can also be programmed to release perfume throughout the day.
Fitbit announced it was dabbling in jewelry and partnering with Tory Burch on a Fitbit necklace and a bracelet. The products are still in the design stage, but drawings show decent gold jewelry that would look good even if it didn’t contain a tracker.
Not every company is getting outside help. Ezio makes gaudy $129 necklaces that pair with a smartphone and have stones that light up when someone calls or texts.
“The whole idea here is that people — not everyone, but lots of people, we believe — want their fitness trackers to be even more fashionable,” said Fitbit’s Scal. “In the male-focused technology industry, we didn’t think people were paying enough attention to women, to be honest.”
Everyone’s making a smart watch
Pebble on Monday introduced a premium smartwatch, Pebble Steel, which will retail for $249.
Appealing to women is an issue with one of the most hyped wearable categories: smart watches.
Gadgets calling themselves smart watches range from regular watch faces with light-up notifications to full featured Android phones worn on the wrist. The most appealing are designed to look like everyday analog watches, while others look like touch screens with a strap tossed on. When well done, a watch with a face big enough to accommodate smart features can pass as a nice men’s accessory, but the majority are still far too bulky and awkward for women.
The focus on the watch form factor has been oddly intense, with rumors of an Apple smart watch swirling for the past year and major companies like Samsung pushing out glitchy, undercooked technology like the Galaxy Gear.
At CES, Intel, Qualcomm and indie darling Pebble all announced new smart watches, and there was a dedicated area for the wrist wear. The Burg ($149 to $399) takes a SIM card and can make calls. The $130 Cogito Pop looks like a classic watch but adds notifications from a paired smartphone. Qualcomm’s $349 Toq is similar to the Pebble but with a full color screen and fewer apps. The new Pebble Steel is a proper stainless steel smart watch for $250.
The most egregiously oversized smart watch on the CES floor is the Neptune Pine , a 2.4-inch touchscreen rectangle running Android Jelly Bean that will cost between $335 and $395 when released in March. Technically, it has all the features of a fully functioning Android phone, but the cramped screen means it works better as a secondary screen for viewing notifications, paired with a regular Android smartphone stashed in your bag or large pocket.
One of the more clever smart watches at CES is the Filip , a simple and sturdy phone and location tracker for kids five to 11 years old. Parents can program in five phone numbers and the child can make and receive calls from those contacts, and receive but not send texts. An accompanying iOS or Android app can be used to pinpoint the kid’s location on a map. The $199 device will be sold through AT&T stores and service will cost just $10 a month without a contract.
On your face but out of the way
For the most part, wearables offer a limited selection of the features already available on smartphones. The idea is to save people from the distracting task of pulling out a phone, looking at it, tapping on it and returning it safely to a pocket. At the Cogito booth, Andres Muguira said a smart watch would help wearers filter incoming notifications so they would “get to spend more time with loved ones.”
That’s the idea behind wearable glasses, either the most or least distracting wearable depending on your point of view. There were a number of Google Glass-like products at CES. GlassUp shows e-mails, texts, tweets and other messages on a display directly in front of the eye. The GlassUp design currently resembles safety glasses, but a mockup of the final version could almost pass for a regular pair of black thick-framed specs.
Epson’s Moverio BT-100 glasses look like the disposable sunglasses you get after a trip to the eye doctor. The industrial Vuzix glasses don’t even attempt to pass as normal glasses, looking more like a futuristic monocle, but that could change if the company decides to make a commercial product.
The best outcome for smart glasses, and all other wearable tech, is blending in by looking like products people already want to wear.
They could follow Google’s lead. The company was reportedly talking to hip glasses company Warby Parker about possible design partnerships for future versions of Google Glass.

[b][url=http://www.outlettiffanyonline.com]tiffany silver[/url][/b] “It was 2005, I was in Los Angeles with my three kids, my husband and I had separated — it was NOT part of the plan — and I got permission from the court to move back to Richmond, Va.,” she recalls, managing a smile.
That smile… it’s the hint that Kim’s about to invite you on her journey.
“So there I am, a single mom, three kids, two dogs and a hamster — I was 34 at the time — driving cross country.
“It was quiet in the car and I was praying — ‘God, I’m not sure why I’m going through this, but I trust in you — when things started to unfold.”
She calls it her “vision.”
“I was supposed to help other women,” she explains so matter-of-factly that you just have to believe. “Help women to help themselves.”
But first, Kim needed to help herself.
“I started out working two — sometimes three — part-time jobs, before I got my first full-time job,” she remembers.
Then there was that cup of coffee… and a guy named Mike.
“I was working the counter in Boychick’s Deli,” Mike Tillem said, “when I saw her come in.”
It took a while — she smiles and reminds him that he was a “pest” — but eventually Mike convinced Kim to go for a cup of coffee.
“Five minutes,” Kim thought, “and then he’d stop bothering me. But five minutes turned into two hours. He was blunt honest about himself.”
As blunt as could be.
“I’m poor and I’m in recovery,” Mike told her. And there was more. Much more.
But Kim didn’t flinch.
“Normally, I would have run from someone like him,” she said. Instead, by the end of their first evening she was sure they’d be doing those “great things together,” but she warned him: “Don’t get any great ideas that we’re gonna be dating.”
Meanwhile, as Kim puts it, “doors started flying open.” She got a job working on-air for a local Christian radio station, where she also sold ads and learned the ins-and-outs of marketing and networking.
She even managed to earn a masters degree in marriage therapy.
Oh, and that warning to Mike about not dating?
They’re married.
All the while, however, Kim never lost her “vision.”
So when the radio station closed and Kim lost her job, she knew it was time for the vision to become her life.
“This is why I’ve been laid off,” she remembers thinking. “It’s all part of the plan.”
As the saying goes, “When one door closes…”
Kim found work teaching and counseling at a nearby Baptist church, which just happened to own a rundown house perched on hill at the the edge of its parking lot.
That was November, 2010 — a month later, The Sophie House was born.
Enter Kim’s quiet “angel,” the key to all of this working.
Dave Maloney was a “friend” of Mike’s. To hear him tell it — reluctantly — he’s by no means a man of substantial means.
“I work at a correctional facility,” Dave explains, “and my wife, Linda, and I got lucky when the housing bubble burst and we bought an investment property.”
But Dave wasn’t looking for a big payoff, the kind that often comes in flipping a cheap house for profit.
Dave was looking to invest in people.
And that’s where, it turns out, he and Kim shared a “vision.”
“I could see this house was going to be a refuge,” Kim recalls. But first she needed to enlist yet another “angel,” Cathe Myers.
“Cathe worked with me at the radio station and when it closed I said, ‘you’re comin’ with me.’ Cathe makes things happen,” Kim says, fists clenched, sitting on the edge of her seat. “While I went around sharing my vision and story with others, Cathe was making The Sophie House work.
“We complement each other — none of us gets paid, we just ask, ‘how can we make a difference?’”
And that’s the secret behind Kim’s “vision” — finding people willing to invest in people.
“Here’s where we’re different,” she explains. “We’re here to help women in need to get the resources to help themselves. We don’t run around trying to raise money or give handouts, and we don’t pay for their shelter. If a woman — it doesn’t matter if it’s a young mother and her kids or a middle-aged woman left helpless and homeless by divorce — if she needs a place to live, needs a job, we’re here to provide the resources to help her stand on her own.
“If it’s a place to live, we screen the applicants for Dave or other potential landlords who can contribute housing. But we don’t pay for their housing. That’s a handout. We help them to network and get a job, and then Dave works out a fair rent with them, just to cover his cost.
“And we offer other services, through volunteers, by networking with other organizations to provide counseling. And with the help of the church, we run a food pantry, but we also have clothes and other household goods women might need to get back on their feet.”
Just then, the proof of Kim’s vision walked into The Sophie House offices — we’ll call her “Tiffany,” a mom on the run with two kids.
“We were homeless,” Tiffany explained, “and I just walked into the church this past September, looking for help… and they referred me to Kim.
“I’m in an abusive marriage — he left me financially destitute, suffering emotional and mental abuse. I was mentally lost — how did an educated woman like myself get into this position?
“Then I spoke with Kim, and she was able to relate — she’d been where I was.”
“Small steps,” Kim said, “that’s what we teach.”
With Kim’s help, Tiffany’s found work as a para-legal, which means she can pay rent and utilities, which makes her a good match for a landlord looking to “bless” someone with a place to live.
“It’s about sharing,” Kim says. “It’s about being accepted for who you are and not for what you have.”
“I didn’t have a dime,” Mike chimes in, “but Kim saw me for who I am. It didn’t matter to her whether I had 10 bucks or 10 million. That’s what’s special about this lady.”
“Organizations think it’s about chasing the same dollar — that you need that money to make a difference,” Kim preaches. “But collaboration can change a community — and our country. Finding partnerships — making a difference in someone’s life, not giving them but showing them how they can do for themselves.
‘Giving someone the tools to improve their life — that’s something that lasts far longer than a handout.”
When all is said and done, that’s really Kim’s vision this Christmas: Giving woman in need the gift of a better life.
