    This article is fine until – “In the US, Tea Partying has become the new black.” – which basically discredits anything the author has to say.

    If the Liberals were bankrolling a “grassroots” corporately funded “party” in order to stir up hate and vitriol against the Labor party, she might have a point.

    The Lib Dems with their first-past-the post voting system, and the Tea Party with… no plans to do anything but be abusive and complain a whole bunch. Yeah, them be valid analogues.

    You’re not supposed to actually KNOW anything about the political systems or landscapes of other countries.. sheesh!

    It’s hilarious when you comment on an American site about politics, and there’s this wave of “Oh man, this is embarrassing. Random internet dude from another country knows more about this country than these rubes”.
