And didn’t Karlene Maywald do a sterling job of ballsing that up?
It worked for her for quite a while. At a national level these Nats could possibly say “so, Labor, howsabout some minority guvmint actions” and get a term out of that, then whenever the Coalition comes back in be all “I herd you liek prodigal candidates”.
More likely though that they’re just staking out their ‘independence’ with the intent of demanding a better payoff from a prospective Abbott government for doing… exactly the same thing.
