The alliance says now is the time to watch out for dodgy postal vote applications from the major parties, all Australians should only forward a postal vote application if the return address is that of the electoral commission.
The South Australian March State Election saw a huge increase in applications through dubious sources, up nearly 50% on the previous election, says Mark Aldridge
With over 16,500 ballot papers going missing, and some 7500 found to be dodgy in one way or another, it is time all voters took matters into their own hands and ensure their postal applications are addressed to the AEC, rather than a major parties own office.
If any voters are uncertain, do not receive their ballot, or see any other unscrupulous practices, please report them to us ASAP.
