“Reverend Fred Nile has greatly boosted the Greens prospects in NSW” – David Barker

Independent candidate for the Senate David Barker says that the allocation of preferences by the Christian Democratic Party (Fred Nile Group) has increased the danger of a Greens senator being elected in New South Wales.

“The best strategy for stopping the Greens was for all the pro-family small parties and independents to preference each other tightly before going to the Liberal-National Coalition,” said David Barker.

“By sending CDP preferences direct to the Coalition, Reverend Fred Nile has greatly boosted the prospects in NSW of the anti-Life, anti-family Greens.”

“It gets worse,” said Mr Barker, who is a Christian and a strong advocate for the Right of Life. “Both Fred Nile’s CDP and Family First have each given their number six vote to an advocate for the abortion drug RU486, Senator Fiona Nash.

“RU486 is risky for mothers and very fatal to babies,” said David Barker.

“What the self-styled Christian parties have done is minimise the prospects of a Christian pro-Life candidate winning the sixth Senate spot. The most likely result is a Greens victory, with the next most likely result the re-election of Senator Fiona RU486 Nash.”

“How many innocent unborn babies will be killed because of this cynical political act?” asks David Barker.

“This is a shameful betrayal of Christians who mistakenly believed that a vote for CDP or for Family First is a vote for the Right of Life.”

“Christians who want to stop the Greens should vote [1] Group R or for one of the other Christian independent groups”
