One Nation – Wide Bay – Santo Ferraro – Press Release

Press Release

One Nation Candidate for Wide Bay, Santo Ferraro agrees with 60 Minutes Election Reporter, disillusioned Mark Latham, that the two major parties have become self-centered. Mr. Latham, who was the leader of the Labor Party for the 2004 Federal Election, claims on 60 Minutes that both major parties had little to set them apart. Both major parties lacked vision and policies for the future of Australia. During this election campaign both have predominantly engaged in negative advertising about each other.

Mr. Latham went on to point out that voters were drawn to vote for the major party that was going to do the least damage to the country. On Election Day, he is going to and encouraged others to go along to vote and then leave the ballot paper blank, as neither of the major parties deserves our vote.

Mr. Ferraro points out that would definitely be a wasted vote, as the major parties would still occupy the parliamentary benches with the same ratios. Voting 1 for minor parties or independents would be a brave new experiment and putting the major parties further down the ballot paper. Voting in this way will send a strong message to the major parties that they need to return to looking after the country and the electorate. It would also deny them the $2.31 for each No 1 vote for the House of Representatives and the Senate, electoral funding paid for by the taxpayers. In the Constitution, there is no mention of parties and the Parliament should be occupied by independents.

“In the Constitution, there is no mention of parties and the Parliament should be occupied by independents.”

Which explains why Mr Ferraro is the One Nation candidate for Wide Bay…

Perhaps they just went to a local shopping centre and gave the candidacy to the first person they found.

Well it’s nice to know that One Nation has the balls to admit you shouldn’t vote for them, being as how they’re a party and all.
