“In the last 48 hours, there have been extraordinary revelations about Labor and militant unions’ treatment of Canberrans and public servants:
1. another $85 million in proposed Labor cuts to the public service, on top of $840m already flagged by Labor
2. at least eight departments have been used to prepare secret, political, seat-by-seat briefs for Ministers
3. ACTU ‘thuggery’ in inventing non-existent studies to bolster its scare campaign
4. the CPSU cold calling members as part of the same scare campaign
“In contrast, the Coalition will treat Public Servants with respect, as we did in the past.
“We see them as partners in good governance, rather than just people who are at the beck and call of Ministers’ political whims.
“Canberra’s hard working public servants have endured bad treatment from a bad government.
“We will give the public service back the respect it deserves” Senator Humphries concluded.
