This indicates that Windsor and Oakeshott have been polite enough to tell him of their decision to back Labor, but are giving him the chance to save face by announcing his support for the Coalition prior to their announcements so as to not look irrelevant.

They’ve been making so much noise about voting as a bloc that if Windsor and Oakeshott were going to back Abbott, you’d think they’d announce together. It’s not like they’re making their minds up in the hour between Katter’s presser and theirs.
