    Of all the ridiculous things he’s said recently, this one is way up there as among the most ridiculous.

    Mr Abbott, you can borrow this line in the future whenever you need to talk about what the Defence Force should and shouldn’t be doing : “I will defer those decisions to the experience and wisdom of the Chief of Defence, and the Secretary of Defence.”

    So simple it hurts.

    Let me reword that a bit:
