Katter’s Australian Party National Director to Join Family First Victoria
Aidan McLindon has joined the Victorian Campaign Office for Family First supporting the election of Senate Candidate Ashley Fenn after stepping down as KAPs National Director after 14 months.
“I welcome the expertise and energies of Aidan to assist our formidable team to ensure that Family First plays an instrumental role in the balance of power in the Senate” Mr Fenn said.
Mr McLindon was selected as the youngest political candidate in Australia’s history at 17 years old, elected twice and serving 5 years on Australia’s third largest local council at Logan City, served 3 years in the Qld State Parliament as an MP and formed his own political party, The Queensland Party, which eventually merged with Katter’s Australian Party and became KAP’s debut State Leader.
“It’s been an honour to be offered a role within the Victorian Family First Division and I look forward to the new challenge of ensuring Ashley is elected to the Senate” Mr McLindon said after stepping down as National Director to KAP for the past 14 months.
“Ashley has an extensive background in community and business leadership roles and will bring to the Senate a rational approach to ensure that an Abbott led government has a considered checkpoint in its proposed legislation to the Australian people” Mr McLindon stated.
Mr McLindon was raised in Whittlesea, Victoria and has family throughout the state in Hamilton, Ballarat, Echuca, Maryborough and greater Melbourne.
